This program has been developed in accordance with the core competencies of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). It is designed for individuals who wish to embark on a professional coaching journey in line with ICF standards and who want to provide services to individuals or groups using professional coaching skills—whether as a life coach, career coach, or business coach. It is also designed for anyone—including those who wish to offer coaching services as part of their current job or as a profession—who wants to learn coaching skills and develop their coaching abilities to achieve their own personal and professional goals.
- Content that is fully aligned with the ICF Coaching Competencies and Code of Ethics.
- A practice-oriented learning model focused on the fields of personal and professional coaching.
- A robust foundational approach for those who wish to build the profession of professional coaching on the principles of ethics, competence, and practice.
Offered by Istanbul NLP® Academy, this training program aims to develop professional coaching competencies by combining coaching skills with a strong professional stance, active listening, and an approach grounded in mindfulness. Throughout the program, participants gain practical skills in effective communication, powerful questioning, ethical conduct in coaching, goal setting, developing mindfulness, and structuring coaching sessions.
By the end of the training, participants will have acquired the perspective of a Professional Expert Coach, enabling them to conduct professional coaching sessions in accordance with ICF standards and effectively support individuals in their personal and professional development processes. The program is offered in both in-person and live online formats.
Our founder, MCC Professional Expert Coach Berna Türköver, discusses the coaching profession on TV shows.
In this program, coaching is approached not merely as the transfer of theoretical knowledge, but as a learning process experienced through in-class exercises, sample sessions, and one-on-one practice. Through the ICF Level 1 Coaching Program, you will internalize coaching as a way of thinking, listening, and building relationships that goes beyond mere techniques, while simultaneously developing your ethical stance, professional competence, and practical skills.
The goal is to inspire a holistic transformation encompassing both personal and professional life, thereby enabling participants to acquire life skills that can be integrated into their daily lives and professional relationships. This approach supports participants in effectively applying their coaching skills not only during sessions but also in their professional lives, leadership roles, and personal development processes. The program treats coaching as a profession grounded in the highest ethical standards, ICF competencies, and a practice-based discipline, and within this framework, it provides a solid professional foundation.

Can I Provide Coaching with This Certificate? Can I Open an Office?
Yes. Participants who complete the ICF Coaching Training Level 1 Professional Expert Coaching Training can begin offering professional coaching services using the coaching approach and practical skills they have acquired, and can become their own boss.
Is the Program ICF Level 1 Certified? What Does Accreditation Mean?
Yes, our professional coaching training program is structured in accordance with ICF Level 1 requirements. ICF accreditation demonstrates that the program’s content, learning outcomes, ethical approach, practice standards, and assessment processes align with the quality criteria established by the ICF. This allows you to confidently continue your coaching journey after graduation in accordance with international standards.
Is It Necessary to Take the MYK Coaching Exam?
Participants who successfully complete this program can conduct professional coaching activities and open their own offices in accordance with the coaching standards established by the Turkish National Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK), without being required to take an additional MYK coaching exam. This is because the coaching qualifications, ethical principles, professional competencies, and practice standards established by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) are determined in accordance with the criteria of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) .
How Many Hours Is the ICF Level 1 Coaching Training, and What Does It Cover?
The program runs for a total of 72 hours. Topics such as the fundamentals of coaching, ICF core competencies, ethical guidelines, session structuring, powerful questioning, active listening, mindfulness, and action planning are covered through in-class practice, sample sessions, and hands-on exercises. The goal is not merely to impart knowledge, but to transform coaching into a practice-based professional skill and a way of life.
Online or In-Person Education? Which Is More Beneficial?
The training is offered in both live online (Zoom) and in-person formats. The content and learning outcomes are the same; the difference lies in the learning environment. While the online model offers flexibility and the opportunity for participants from outside the city to enroll, the in-person model provides more intensive classroom interaction. In both formats, the practical exercises and feedback process are standard.
Is Mentor Coaching Available? What Does 10 Hours of One-on-One Mentor Coaching Offer?
Yes. The program includes 10 hours of one-on-one mentor coaching. Mentor coaching helps you develop your coaching approach in line with ICF competencies, clarify your strengths, and establish your coaching style on a professional foundation. You’ll make rapid progress by receiving concrete feedback on your sessions.
What Are the Qualifications and Experience of Your Instructors?
The training is led by MCC-certified instructors with over 20 years of experience and more than 20,000 hours of coaching. This means the learning process is not just theoretical; it is grounded in real-world experience and features a strong culture of hands-on practice and mentorship.
What Certificates Will I Receive Upon Completing the Training? Will I Receive Both the ICF and e-Government Certificates?
At the end of the program, participants who complete the training requirements will receive a coaching training certificate in accordance with ICF standards and CPD requirements. Additionally, participants are offered the option to obtain a certificate that is valid with official institutions in Turkey and can be verified through e-Government. This allows you to get off to a strong start that inspires confidence both internationally and nationally.
Can I Move on to Level 2 After Level 1?
Yes. After completing Level 1, you can advance your coaching journey toward ICF Level 2 and continue your path toward advanced training and certification. As you transition to Level 2, you can clarify your professional focus through niche program options that support specialization in your area of interest.
How Are Classes Conducted? Theory or Practice?
In this program, you’ll learn coaching not just as theoretical knowledge, but through hands-on practice, sample sessions, role-playing exercises, and feedback. We approach coaching not as “knowledge,” but as a “skill” reinforced by an ethical stance and competencies. This enables you to discover your own coaching style and master it with ease throughout the process.
What Is the Language of Instruction? Are There Any Prerequisites for Participation?
The language of instruction is Turkish. There are no specific educational requirements for the coaching training program; anyone who wishes to pursue a professional approach to the coaching profession is welcome to participate. For corporate participants, including managers and HR professionals, we also offer sample case studies. Please contact your training coordinator for more details.
What Will I Gain Upon Completing the Program?
Upon completing the program, you will acquire professional coaching skills such as a coaching stance aligned with the ICF Code of Ethics, session management, effective questioning, active listening, fostering awareness, and developing action plans. Most importantly, you will maximize your potential as professionals who can deliver results and manage their own development.
