You’ve probably heard students preparing for exams frequently complain that they can’t finish the exam questions in time, and that they get bored with solving long questions in particular and don’t want to solve them…
Did you know that the nerves connecting the eye to the brain transmit signals 25 times faster than those connecting the eye to the ear? So why not finish a task that normally takes at least 10 hours in just 1–2 hours?
Our students spend too much time studying or doing homework. They constantly say they can’t keep up with their homework and get bored while preparing for exams. We often try to explain the situation to ourselves and to them in a logical way, telling them that this is necessary to succeed. However, this situation stems from our students’ failure to effectively utilize their capabilities. Of course, this is not something they do intentionally, nor is it something they could do better if they wanted to.
Our founder, MCC Professional Expert Coach Berna Türköver, discusses the coaching profession on SHOW TV’s “Take Care of Yourself” program with Ebru Akel.
A student with a habit of reading can read 150–250 words per minute. Starting in fourth grade, if a student has not reached this level, their academic performance will be significantly affected, or they will have to expend a great deal of effort and time just to maintain their academic performance. This situation can undermine our students’ self-confidence and cause them to become very exhausted. Even in lower grades, there are specific reading levels our students are expected to meet. If a student falls below these levels, you may notice unpredictable fluctuations in performance, as well as difficulties with concentration and focus, the causes of which may be unclear. Instead of telling your child, “You have an attention disorder,” “They’re giving you too much homework,” or “You can’t sit still during class,” give them the key to learning how to learn. In as little as 5 weeks, your child can learn to use their comprehension, focus, concentration, and perception skills. This way, they can thrive both socially and academically.
